Biography

Dr. Dora Keating is a licensed naturopathic physician and massage therapist in the state of Washington. She has an extensive molecular biology background with a bachelor of science in molecular biology/biotechnology from Arizona State University and two years in a Ph.D. program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York. She graduated with a doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2009 and completed her massage therapy certification in 2005 at Brenneke School of Massage.

The focus of Dr. Dora’s work is on wellness and uncovering barriers to health. She likes to approach health from several different perspectives. Massage therapy is a favorite tool that allows for physiologic feedback to the brain, on the mechanical, biochemical, emotional, and energetic levels. Dr. Dora currently uses deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point release, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy and reiki as well as other physical medicine modalities such as kinesio taping and laser.

Dr. Dora is a fervent advocate of disease prevention and addresses not only advanced diseases, but also dysfunctions before they have manifested into diagnosable disease entities. In addition to manual therapy, Dr. Dora likes to explore genetic predispositions, as well as current state of health based on laboratory testing. Naturopathic modalities for optimizing health include lifestyle modifications, nutritional, botanical and nutraceutical therapies. Pharmaceutical medicines are used as appropriate.

Dr. Dora sees patients with a wide variety of conditions from low energy, weight gain, sleep issues, digestive issues, anxiety and depression to autoimmune disease and other forms of chronic disease.

When out of the office, Dr. Dora enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys being active and her favorite hobbies include dancing, flying trapeze, trampoline and gardening.
