I used to hate broccoli.

I grew up with my parents ingraining the mantra “finish your plate”, and inevitably, vegetables were battles. Even as I got older, I would rather reach for a cookie over a second helping of salad.

While working in a hospital in my hometown, I provided care for chronically ill patients, many of whom plateaued or declined in their health. In those moments, I realized that I wanted something better. That’s when I began eating broccoli.

I studied biology and psychology at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO and then attended Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ, obtaining my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, graduating with honors.

Now, I continue my journey. I believe in challenging the status quo when it comes to healthcare in order to determine what truly works for each person. I want to change the way you receive medical care. I want to change the way you see your health.

I am focused in medicine that integrates both cutting-edge modern therapeutics and the ancient knowledge of natural medicine. My passion is to create a partnership between doctor and patient, encouraging the patient to become a steward of his/her own health.  I work with patients to help them attain their health goals and feel their best.

I’m a bit of a bookworm as I love to read. But when I’m not curled up in a good book, you can find me painting, hiking, running, and laughing with my friends at every possible opportunity.

I look forward to working with you on your journey to health.
