Dr. Miriam Peachy enjoys treating patients with challenging conditions. She establishes trust with these patients and works with them at their comfort level to help them feeling and functioning better. She encourages her patients’ input, knowing that she is a facilitator of healing and that the patients do the real work. Her primary areas of focus are weight loss, chronic disease, diabetes, fibromyalgia, thyroid disease, Lyme disease, and autoimmune disease. She is a classically trained homeopath, and believes that homeopathy is a vital component and effective tool in helping her patients on the path towards health. Dr. Peachy believes that most conditions are multi-faceted, and works at many levels with her patients, including exploring the mind/body connection, adjusting lifestyle factors, and providing a variety of treatment options.

Dr Peachy loves working with children. She treats both acute illnesses (like colds and  flu) and chronic conditions (ADD/ADHD, digestive issues, and more). The variety of effective yet gentle treatments she typically uses for children include homeopathy, hydrotherapy, and botanical (herbal) medicine.

Dr. Peachy is a graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree in Information Technology with the University of Maryland University College. She has lived in four countries and has been exposed to many different cultures and traditions. Her interests include Native American spirituality and shamanism, meditation, indigenous medicine, plants and gardening, hiking, swimming, and travel.
